Scope and Definitions 1. The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment procedures as defined in the WTO TBT Agreement in so far as they affect trade covered by this Agreement.
2. For the purposes of this Chapter, the definitions used by the WTO TBT Agreement shall apply.
Preamble and Definitions 1.1 The preamble to this Agreement constitutes an integral part of this Agreement, as do the terms of the Plan.
1.2 Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalized terms used herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Plan.
Name and Definitions Section 1. Name. The name of the Trust is "VANGUARD BOND INDEX FUNDS" and the Trustees shall conduct the business of the Trust under that name or any other name as they may from time to time determine. If the Trustees determine to change the name of the Trust, they may adopt such other name for the Trust as they deem proper. Any name change shall become effective upon approval by the Trustees of such change and the filing of a certificate of amendment under the Delaware Act. Any such action shall have the status of an amendment to this Declaration of Trust.
ABBREVIATIONS AND DEFINITIONS Customary abbreviations may be used in the name of the Holder or an assignee, such as: TEN COM (= tenants in common), TEN ENT (= tenants by the entireties), JT TEN (= joint tenants with right of survivorship and not as tenants in common), CUST (= Custodian) and UGMA (= Uniform Gifts to Minors Act). All terms defined in the Indenture and used in this Security but not specifically defined herein are defined in the Indenture and are used herein as so defined.
Terms and Definitions The terms listed below shall have the respective meaning given them as set forth adjacent to each term.
UCC Definitions Unless otherwise defined herein or the context otherwise requires, terms for which meanings are provided in the UCC are used in this Security Agreement, including its preamble and recitals, with such meanings.
