Additional Compensation for Staff Development. Unit Members who present a workshop on a regularly scheduled work day will be compensated at the negotiated hourly rate, based upon five (5) hours for preparation time for a seven (7) hour day and/or two and a half (2.5) hours preparation time for a half-day workshop, in addition to their per diem rate. Unit Members who present a workshop, on a non-work day or beyond the regularly scheduled work day, will be compensated for their preparation time based on the above preparation formula, plus the number of hours required to present the workshop at the negotiated hourly rate.
