ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING. 15.8.1 An employee with a four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university shall be paid an additional $1.00 per hour provided the degree is related tothe EMPLOYEE's job classification. EMPLOYEES with a two (2) year A.S. degree from an accredited institution shall be paid an additional fifty cents ($0.50) per hour provided the degree is related to the EMPLOYEE's job classification. All general two (2) year A.A. degrees will be considered related to the EMPLOYEE's job classification. 15.8.2 An EMPLOYEE with a trade certification related to the EMPLOYEE'S job classification will be paid an additional fifty cents ($0.50) per hour. An EMPLOYEE who completes an approved program of instruction related to the EMPLOYEE's job classification will be paid an additional twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour. The determination that the degree is related to the EMPLOYEE's job classification shall be at the sole discretion of the SUPERINTENDENT ordesignee. 15.8.3 Upon approval of the SUPERINTENDENT or designee, the BOARD will reimburse each EMPLOYEE the actual amount of tuition paid, not to exceed the resident tuition rate established by the Florida State Board of Regents for each semester hour taken in an area related to the EMPLOYEE's job classification. The determination of "relatedness" is solely at the discretion of the SUPERINTENDENT or designee. 15.8.4 A list of degrees, certificates, licenses and courses that meet the requirements, is contained in Appendix 3 of this Agreement.
