Common use of Adoption of Standards Clause in Contracts

Adoption of Standards. The Parties hereby agree to adopt, enforce and comply with requirements and standards that will safeguard Reliability of the interconnected Transmission Systems. Such Reliability requirements and Reliability Standards shall be: (a) adopted and enforced for the purpose of providing reliable service; (b) not unduly discriminatory in substance or application; (c) applied consistently to both Parties (with the exception of subsection (e) below); (d) consistent with the Parties’ respective obligations to applicable Standards Authorities including, without limitation, any relevant requirements or guidelines from each of NERC, NPCC or any other Standards Authority to which the Parties are required to adhere; and (e) with respect to the NYISO, consistent with the NYSRC Reliability Rules.
