ADVANCEMENT IN RANK. 1.0 Consistent with the qualification requirements of the rank concerned, all Faculty members, whether tenured or not, shall be eligible to apply for advancement in rank. A Faculty Member shall ordinarily spend a minimum number of years in each rank before becoming eligible for the next higher rank. The minimum periods of service within each rank shall be as follows: Lecturer - three (3) years; Assistant Professor – five (5) years; Associate Professor – eight (8) years.
