AGREEMENT AND PURPOSE. Section 1.1. This Agreement is made and entered into by and between the Sheriff of Xxxxx County, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as "Employer" and Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Labor Council." Section 1.2. The purpose of this contract is to provide a fair and reasonable method enabling employees covered by this contract to participate, through union representation, in the establishment of the terms and conditions of their employment to establish a peaceful procedure for the resolution of contract differences between the parties. Section 1.3. Specifically, this Agreement addresses matters pertaining to wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment between the parties herein. This Agreement will be the sole recourse available to employees represented by the Labor Council in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 4117.10(A). Members of the bargaining unit will not have recourse to the Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, the State Personnel Board of
