Amount of Vacation Pay. Vacation pay for those enjoying two (2) weeks' vacation, three (3) weeks' vacation, four (4) weeks' vacation, five (5) weeks' vacation and six (6) weeks' vacation with pay annually shall be calculated at four per centum (4%), six per centum (6%), eight per centum (8%), ten per centum (10%) and twelve per centum (12%) respectively of their total earnings for the year previous to their vacation.

Vacation for Employees who have qualified for two three four five six (6) or seven (7)weeks' vacation and who sever or have severed their employment after they have become qualified for two three four five six (6) or seven (7) weeks' vacation, as the case may be, shall receive, at the date of the severance or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter, vacation pay computed at the rate of four percent six percent eight percent ten percent twelve percent (12%) or fourteen percent (14%) (for those grandfathered with this benefit) respectively of their earnings since the terminationof their last computed vacation pay. It shall be all employees to take their vacations during the vacation year in which they qualify for such vacations, however, it is agreed that where an employee has been absent because of illness, injury or approved leave of absence and has not earned sufficient earnings, (in the mutual opinion of the Union and the Company), as a result of such absence, the requirement to take vacation during the appropriate vacation year can be waved, in whole or in part, provided that the Company, the Union and the employee are in agreement. For Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving and Independence Day weeks the employee may either elect to receive an additional days pay at straight time or take off the Friday preceding the vacation or Monday immediately following. For Good Friday, Memorial Day, and Labor Day, the employee shall be paid an additional day's pay of eight (8) hours at the straight time hourly rate.
