File Review. 18.7.1 Review of information of a derogatory nature shall be during normal business hours and the employee shall be released from duty for this purpose without salary reduction.
18.7.2 A unit member shall have the right during the member's non-working hours to examine all materials (except those obtained prior to employment, those prepared by identifiable examination committee members, or, those obtained in connection with promotional examinations) contained within the official personnel file.
18.7.3 A unit member may, in writing, authorize a representative to have access to, and to review, the member's official personnel file. The United Faculty agrees it shall indemnify and save the District harmless from any and all claims, demands, suits or any other actions arising from such access or review.
18.7.4 All reviews shall be done in the presence of a management employee, or designee, who shall be positioned in a manner ensuring confidentiality and security of the file.
File Review. The employee may request his personnel file upon a written request; such request must be submitted five (5) days prior to the date of review. Should an employee, upon review of his personnel file, observe materials of a negative or derogatory nature, the employee may provide a written and signed comment or rebuttal, and such response shall be attached to the material in question. The comments or rebuttals shall remain in the file with the adverse material.
File Review. Employees shall have the right to review the contents of their personnel file. Arrangements to review the file shall be made through the office of the Superintendent.
File Review. Nothing contained in this Article X will limit an employee’s right, to the extent provided by applicable law, to inspect his/her personnel file.
File Review. All files shall be available for examination and review by the Unit member upon written request. Such review or examination shall take place at reasonable hours in an area where the file is customarily held, and in the presence of the person or his/her designee, who normally has custody of such files. The file of each Unit member shall contain a log of the individuals who have had access to the particular file. A unit member shall be permitted to have copies of material in his file made at his own expense.
File Review. Each faculty member shall have the right to review the entire contents of his/her personnel file, with the exception of confidential placement recommendations and any other material excluded under RCW Chapter 42.56 as currently enacted and hereafter amended. Examinations of personnel files shall occur only following a previously arranged appointment with the human resources office.
File Review. All teachers shall have the right, by appointment with the administration, to review the contents of their personnel files. The Superintendent, or, in his or her absence, a Building Principal, shall be present during the review. At the teacher’s request, a representative of the Association may accompany the teacher in this review.
File Review. Teachers will have the right, upon reasonable request and during normal business hours, to review the contents of their personnel file (excluding personal references) while in the presence of an administrator or other designated school district employee, and to receive a copy of any documents contained therein. The Teacher may bring Association representation with them when reviewing their file with the clear understanding that the person accompanying the teacher will have access to the teacher’s confidential information.
File Review. Upon reasonable request and during non-working time, an employee may review the contents of their personnel file, excluding references. If the documents are maintained in a paper file, employee may receive a copy of such documents electronically. An Association representative may accompany an employee during such review if the review is in-person.
