Common use of Agreement Supersedes Civil Service Clause in Contracts

Agreement Supersedes Civil Service. The parties intend, to the fullest extent allowed by law, for this Agreement to supersede and take the place of the Ohio Civil Service laws and rules in all provisions addressed by this Agreement, even where civil service laws and rules are not specifically referenced. It is understood that the State Personnel Board of Review and DAS shall have no authority or jurisdiction as it relates to articles of this Agreement. The parties hereby agree that, for purposes of this Agreement, none of the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code or Ohio Administrative Code pertaining to the reporting of payroll, personnel actions, or any other type of documentation regarding bargaining unit employees to the Ohio Department of Administrative Services shall apply to the bargaining unit employees.
