Air Entrainment. Concrete shall be air-entrained 7 percent minimum +/-1 percent, by volume.
Air Entrainment. A. Air-entraining admixture shall conform to ASTM C260.
Air Entrainment. All concrete shall be air entrained concrete. Concrete shall be air entrained by using air entrained cement which shall conform to ASTM C175 or by using air entraining admixtures which shall conform to ASTM C260. All concrete, when delivered to the site, shall have an air content of 5-1/2% with tolerance of plus or minus 1-1/2%. Concrete that does not contain the proper air entrainment will result in rejection.
Air Entrainment. Air entrainment by total volume of concrete shall be 5-7% for ¾” to 1” max. size coarse aggregate.

  • Working Environment The parties agree that a safe and clean working environment is essential in order to carry out work assignments in a satisfactory manner. The Employer commits to investigate the use of environmentally friendly products. It will be the Employer's responsibility to ensure that all working areas and employer-owned vehicles are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

  • Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.

  • Compaction 11.1 Concrete shall be thoroughly compacted and fully worked around the reinforcement, around embedded fixtures and into corners of the formwork. 11.2 Concrete shall be compacted using mechanical vibrators complying with IS 2505, IS 2506, IS 2514 and IS:4656. Over vibration and under vibration of concrete are harm full and shall be avoided. Vibration of very wet mixes shall also be avoided. Whenever vibration has to be applied externally, the design of formwork and the disposition of vibrators shall receive special consideration to ensure efficient compaction and to avoid surface blemishes.

  • Drainage Systems (1) Clear culvert inlets, outlets, and sediment catching basins. (2) Maintain waterbars, drainage dips, and other water diversion measures. (3) During active use, patrol and maintain functional drainage. (4) Repair damaged culvert ends.
