Air Quality Procedure. The PCBU, Site Manager and WHS Reps must alert workers the day before extreme or excessive poor air quality conditions are expected. After three consecutive hours of POOR air quality above 50µG per/m3, there will be an orderly cessation of work and preparation for safe completion of critical tasks. Unaffected work areas will be monitored and continue without disruption. Once the air quality index reaches 75µG per/m3 there will be an immediate cessation of work with only safe completion of critical tasks allowable. Unaffected work areas will be monitored and continue without disruption. Fit testing Inclement weather provisions of the Award shall be invoked. To be clear, all the provisions contained in clause 24 of the Award shall apply in instances of poor air quality, including 24.14. All air quality related incidents are to be reported to the employer, site safety coordinator, WHS Committee and any relevant employee representative`s immediately. The accepted method of fit testing of RPE is Quantitative fit testing.
