Safety Procedures. The Contractor shall:
(a) comply with all applicable safety regulations according to Attachment H;
(b) take care for the safety of all persons entitled to be on the Site;
(c) use reasonable efforts to keep the Site and Works clear of unnecessary obstruction so as to avoid danger to these persons;
(d) provide fencing, lighting, guarding and watching of the Works until completion and taking over under clause 10 [Employer's Taking Over]; and
(e) provide any Temporary Works (including roadways, footways, guards and fences) which may be necessary, because of the execution of the Works, for the use and protection of the public and of owners and occupiers of adjacent land.
Safety Procedures. 39.1: The Employer shall not require any employee to operate any equipment or vehicle which is not in safe operating condition or is not equipped with the safety appliances as required by law. The Employer shall furnish a suitable form on which an employee shall document all equipment defects and/or appliance shortages, such reports shall be completed in multiple copies and turned in at the end of the employee's regular work shift. No employee shall be required to operate any vehicle declared unsafe by the Sheriff after inspection by a certified mechanic.
Safety Procedures. The Boards shall comply with any and every applicable statute, federal and state, and with any such rules and regulations as may be promulgated thereunder, that govern the conditions of health and safety in the place of work of its employees. Each University may promulgate and enforce any such rules and regulations as it may deem appropriate from time to time to provide for the safety of its employees and to ensure compliance with any such statute or with the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder. Prior to the promulgation of any such rules or regulations by the University, the President of the University shall first consult with the Chapter President regarding such rules and regulations and their enforcement; provided, however, that such consultation shall not be required in respect of any such rules and regulations in force at any University on the date of execution of this Agreement. Whenever, upon the recommendation of the Library Director or the Library Program Area Chair, as may be appropriate, the Vice President shall have determined that the work environment in the library or a portion thereof shall be intolerable, he/she shall take such steps as may be practical to provide alternative work areas for the performance of the unit member’s contractual responsibilities. Whenever any Board shall have been informed or shall have other cause to believe that any work location or part thereof is unsafe or unhealthy, it shall investigate the same and shall, as soon as may be practicable thereafter, take such steps as it deems necessary and appropriate to correct any unsafe or unhealthy condition that it determines actually to exist. At the request of the Chapter President, the Board shall provide annual asbestosis tests, at no cost to any member of the bargaining unit, to those members of the bargaining unit who, while in the employ of the Board, have worked in buildings or other facilities where asbestos is or has been present. Members of the bargaining unit shall be provided information concerning test results promptly upon receipt of the information by the University. Grievances involving the interpretation or application of the provisions of this Section may be processed through Step 2 of the Grievance Procedure contained in Article XI but shall not be processed to Step 3 or Step 4 thereof. The Employer shall be alert to unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions and shall endeavor to provide a safe place of employment. The employee, in the course of performing duties associated with the mission of the Employer, shall be alert to unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions and shall endeavor to report any unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions to his/her immediate supervisor. Whenever the physical facilities of the building are deemed unoccupiable for students, the building shall be deemed unoccupiable for employees. However, employees shall fulfill those activities deemed necessary by the Employer to assure the continuing provision of instruction. All Employees will be made aware of the building safety procedures and participate in required drills.

25.1.1. comply with all the Company's safety, health and security policies and any applicable safety laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 85 of 1993; and
25.1.2. use reasonable efforts to ensure that the provision of the Services at the Company's premises does not cause any unnecessary obstruction so as to avoid danger to these persons.
25.2. The Service Provider shall consider itself “the Company” for the purposes of the legislation referred to in clause 25.1.1 and shall not consider itself under the supervision or management of the Company with regard to compliance with this legislation.
25.3. The Service Provider shall ensure that all statutory appointments are made and that all appointees fully understand their responsibilities and are trained and competent to execute their duties.
