Common use of Air Travel Clause in Contracts

Air Travel. Where an employee requests to use air travel to travel to the project, the following terms and conditions shall prevail. (i) The Employer shall pay for airfare, inclusive of any/all related fees and taxes, plus taxi fare to/from the project from the airport located nearest thereto. Notwithstanding the foregoing, taxi fare shall not be payable where Employer (or Owner) supplied transportation is provided. (ii) The Employer may pre-arrange the air travel to/from the airport nearest the employee’s point of residence. The air carrier and class of ticket shall be at the discretion of the Employer, but shall be via a regularly scheduled carrier. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Employer shall not direct an employee to fly “standby”. (iii) The employee shall provide the Employer with the Boarding Pass and proper ground transportation receipts if requested to do so by the Employer.
