Air Ventilation and Filtration. a. The Parties affirm that public health officials indicate that proper ventilation is necessary to minimize the transmission and infection from COVID-19 especially for individuals in a closed space for extended periods of time by reducing the airborne concentration of the virus and thus the risk of transmission and infection of COVID-19 through the air. b. The District shall maintain that all HVAC systems operate on the mode which delivers at least six (6) fresh air changes per hour (including disabling demand-controlled ventilation) or at least 15 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) of outdoor air per room occupant during occupied hours, as documented within the prior eighteen (18) months by a test, adjust, and air balance (TAB) report prepared by a technician certified by either the AABC, NEBB, or XXXX (Associated Air Balance Council, National Environmental Balancing Bureau, or Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Bureau). Wherever no TAB report has been conducted within the last eighteen (18) months, an initial TAB report shall be completed no later than January 31 of 2022. c. The District shall ensure that building control systems, thermostats, and general mechanical systems shall be operated in occupied mode (including normal or peak outside air rate introduced to each space) for a minimum period of 1 hour prior to occupants re-entering buildings are programmed to operate ventilation fans at least one hour before school starts, continuously during the day, and 1 hour after school ends. The District shall thus ensure a daily flush of any school site area where unit members and/or students will be present prior to occupancy. d. All HVAC equipment shall be replaced with new MERV13 filters per industry-recommended intervals at minimum. Likewise, all HVAC ionizers shall be cleaned per industry-recommended intervals and methods at minimum. e. Employees shall be regularly provided explicit confirmation (regarding their own workspaces or sites at minimum) of all filter replacements, ionizer cleanings, and most-recent or newly-conducted TAB report results (as well as UV devices following installation). This includes the ongoing schedule of planned maintenance on said devices as well as confirmation of completion of scheduled maintenance milestones.

All locations with fun1ioning windows shall be encouraged to keep them open depending on weather, temperature, or air quality conditions.
b. i. The District shall maintain that ensure all HVAC systems operate as recommended by state and local guidelines, and that they operate on the mode which delivers the most fresh air and as allowed by the HVAC systems currently in place. changes per hour, including disabling demand controlled ventilation, and open outdoor air dampers to 100% as Indoor and outdoor conditions safely permit.
ii. HVAC air filters shall be equipped with at least six (6) fresh air changes per hour (including disabling demand-controlled ventilation) MERV-13 filters and changed at the recommended intervals. iťi. Portable classrooms and/or other classroom spaces or workspaces without central HVAC shall be eQuipped with HEPA filters with a large enough capacity and flow rate for the sQuare footage of the room.
iv. If an individual tests positive for COVID-19, the District will replace the HVAC filters at least 15 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) of outdoor air per room occupant during occupied hoursthe school site. 3z Health Screening, as documented within the prior eighteen (18) months by a testTesting, adjustNotification, and air balance (TAB) report prepared by Contact Tracing
A. Each school site shall have access to a technician certified by either trained health professional, which may include a Credentialed School Nurse or Health Assistant, for the AABCsafety and health of all students, NEBB, or XXXX (Associated Air Balance Council, National Environmental Balancing Bureau, or Testing, Adjustingstaff, and Balancing Bureau). Wherever no TAB report has been conducted within visitors to the last eighteen (18) months, an initial TAB report shall be completed no later than January 31 of 2022campus each day.
c. B. The District shall ensure that building control systemsall students, thermostatsemployees, and general mechanical systems visitors are screened daily for symptoms associated with COVID-19 infection prior to entering school, as recommended by state and local guidelines, including temperature checks if reQuired.
C. Health screening, testing, notification, and Quarantine protocols and procedures will be created prior to in-person learning occurring.
D. All students and staff will be trained on these protocols and procedures.
E. If a unit member, other employee or student is showing symptoms associated with COVID-19, has had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 infection, or has a confirmed COVID-19 infection, the District will comply with all guidelines in the CDPH document, COVID-19 and Reopening In-Person Learning Framework for K-12 ?chools in California, 2020-2021 · School Year. This will include, among other requirements, the following:
1. Staff and students determined to have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or who have had close contact with a person with COVID-19 shall be operated sent home or sent to an isolation area on site pending travel home or to a medical facility.
2. Upon notification that an employee or student has been infected with COVID-19, the District shall initiate contact tracing procedures in occupied mode (including normal or peak outside air rate introduced to each space) for a minimum period of 1 hour prior to occupants re-entering buildings are programmed to operate ventilation fans conjunction with the County Public Health Department. All employees at least the same worksite as the infected individual will be notified within one hour before school starts, continuously during the business day, as reQuired by AB 685. This notification will preserve confidentiality reQuired by state and 1 hour after school endsfederal laws. The District shall thus ensure a daily flush of any school site area where also notify the Association President as reQuired by AB 685.
F. All unit members and/or students shall be reQuired to be tested for COVID-19 as recommended by state and local health officials, but at least once every two months. Tests will be present prior at no cost to occupancythe unit member. Testing schedules shall be arranged to minimize delays, with all relevant privacy rights preserved.
d. All HVAC equipment 1. Recognizing the difficulty of contact tracing, the district shall be replaced with new MERV13 filters per industry-recommended intervals at minimum. Likewise, all HVAC ionizers shall be cleaned per industry-recommended intervals and methods at minimummake every effort to limit the movement of personnel between school campuses.
e. Employees shall be regularly provided explicit confirmation (regarding their own workspaces or sites at minimum) of all filter replacements, ionizer cleanings, and most-recent or newly-conducted TAB report results (as well as UV devices following installation). This includes the ongoing schedule of planned maintenance on said devices as well as confirmation of completion of scheduled maintenance milestones.
