Alteration of schedule. After a schedule is approved for each 8 personnel category, a nurse’s schedule shall not be altered without agreement by 9 the nurse. If mutual agreement cannot be reached, and the Employer has no 10 reasonable alternative to achieve the needed staffing, the Employer may require 11 a nurse to work the revised schedule, providing that such additions may not 12 exceed the nurse’s regular position work schedule. If a permanent schedule 13 change is necessary to meet patient care needs, the employer will give the nurse 14 a thirty (30) day notice prior to implementing the change. Such changes in posted 15 schedules shall be made among nurses on a rotating basis to the fullest extent 16 possible. Any nurse who feels that the nurse has been improperly treated in this 17 process may grieve such improper treatment. When unmet patient care coverage 18 needs arise, nurses trained to work in two departments may be assigned to work 20 work in this capacity will be eligible for a float differential.
