Alternative Recommended Medications. As an alternative to the non-recommended medications given in section 5, recommended medications are: Heartgard® (ivermectin/pyrantel), Sentinel® Spectrum® (milbemycin oxime/lufenuron/praziquantel), Sentinel® Flavor Tabs® (milbemycin oxime/lufenuron), Revolution® (selamectin), Seresto® Collars (imidacloprid and flumenthrin), Frontline® Plus (fipronil and (S)-methoprene), Frontline® Gold (fipronil, (S)-methoprene and pyriproxyfen) and Advantix® (imidacloprid, permethrin and pyriproxyfen).
