Common use of AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) Clause in Contracts

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA). The parties recognize the obligation of the City to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Before the City takes any steps, including reasonable accommodation, that may conflict with this Agreement, it will meet with the Union to discuss those steps that may be taken in that individual case. In those discussions the parties will respect the confidentiality of the disabled person as required by the Act.
