Analysis for Hypothesis 5. It is predicted that COCD will show elevated OCD symptomatology and OCD related cognitions than CCON. Direct self- report measures used to address this hypothesis; the C-OCI and the CRAS are shown in Tables 10 and 11 below. Analysis also draws on data presented in Table 14 (MASC self-report) and tables 12 and 13 (CBCL parent report). Table 10 C-OCI scores (by domain and total) for COCD and CCON Child-OCI domain COCD N=13 Mean (S.D.) CCON N=20 Mean (S.D.) Tests of group difference TOTAL 35.92 (32.16) 23.55 (18.21) t(31) =1.26, p=.22 Washing 5.75 (5.05) 3.00 (3.19) Checking 6.85 (6.61) 3.95 (4.22) Doubting 2.62 (3.35) 1.65 (1.49) Ordering 5.61 (6.15) 2.8 (2.91) Obsessions 7.54 (7.14) 6.75 (5.40) Hoarding 3.15 (3.23) 2.65 (2.08) Neutralising 4.38 (5.31) 2.75 (2.73) Scores show mean distress levels (presented as means of cumulative likert ratings) Table 11 CRAS scores for COCD and CCON Measure COCD N=13 Mean (S.D.) CCON N=20 Mean (S.D.) Tests of group difference Child Responsibility Attitudes Scale 81.61 (17.39) 81.70 (18.90) t (31).61, p=.54 Four measures were utilized to look for elevated OCD symptoms in COCD. COCD were not found to have elevated symptoms according to the self-rated C-OCI (using the Total Score see Table 10) (t (31)=1.26, p=.22) the CRAS (t= (31).61, p=.54) or the Harm Avoidance Scale of the MASC (t=(31).14, p=.88). The parent rated CBCL OCD scale was analyzed using Xxxx Xxxxxxx U test which gives an exact probability of the group difference, and the COCD group did not differ significantly from CCON (p=.26).
