The C. T.A. shall not utilize its designated window for the purpose of political endorsements or solicitation.
The C. S.E.A. recognize the duty and obligations of its representative to comply with the provisions of this Agreement and to make every effort toward inducing all employees to do so. In the event of a strike, work stoppage, slow-down, or other interference with the operation of the District by employees who are represented by the C.S.E.A., the C.S.E.A. agrees in good faith to take all necessary steps to cause those employees to cease such action.
The C. S.E.A. shall designate three representatives who shall receive a reasonable amount of release time without loss of compensation to attend negotiations.
The C. O.L.A. accumulation at the end of each calculation period shall be folded in to the wage structure.
The C. O.L.A. may increase, decrease or remain unchanged in response to changes in the CPI. However, payments of C.O.L.A. shall not exceed:
(a) Six percent (6%) of the current effective hourly base rates for all job classifications in Labour Grades 1 through 11, between January 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2006 and seven percent (7%) of the currently effective hourly base rates for all job classifications in Labour Grades 1 through 11, between January 1st, 2007and December 31st, 2007 and seven percent (7%) of the current effective hourly base rates for all job classifications in Labour Grades 1 through 11 between January 1st, 2008 and December 31st, 2008 and seven percent (7%) of the currently effective hourly base rates for all job classifications in Labour Grades 1 through 11, between January 1st, 2009and August 31st, 2009.
(b) The cents-per-hour equivalent of six percent (6%) of the currently effective hourly base rate for Labour Grade 12 and above between January 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2006 and the cents-per-hour equivalent of seven percent (7%) of the currently effective hourly base rate for Labour Grade 12 between January 1st, 2007 and December 31st, 2007which shall be paid for all job classifications in Labour Grades 12 and above and seven percent (7%) of the currently effective hourly base rates for all job classifications in Labour Grades 12 and above between January 1st, 2008 and December 31st,2008 and seven percent (7%) of the currently effective hourly base rates for all job classifications in Labour Grades 12 and above between January 1st, 2009 and August 31st,2009.
The C. E.O. has represented to Employee that she has the power and authority to bind the Company and any successor to accept the revised terms and conditions of this Agreement.
The C. O.L.A. may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged in response to the changes in the CPI.
The C. T.A. and the school department agree to the hiring of high school faculty on a voluntary basis to cover classes when other faculty members are using sick, professional or personal leave.
The C. A.O. shall, under the direction of Council supervise and direct the employees of the Town.
The C. A.O. may, with approval of the Council establish allowances that may be paid in addition to the employee’s regular pay. These special allowances are over and above normal pay and would include the following:
(1) electrical plug-ins for vehicles used for Town business. Except where the employee resides in a Town-provided dwelling where utilities may be provided by the Town, employees on call shall receive a proportion of the plug-in vehicle rate based on the number of employees in the rotation. (Example: with three (3) employees on call, each would receive 1/3 of the plug-in rate).
