Appeal to Department Head. Step 3. Within seven (7) working days after the Department Head or designate has received the grievance, the Department Head or designate shall meet with up to two representatives from the Union. Either party may request the presence of the grievor at this meeting. Every effort shall be made by the parties to resolve the grievance at this meeting. In any event the Department Head or designate shall render a decision to the Chairperson of the Union Committee within five (5) working days following the meeting.
