Application of Salary Adjustments to Red-Circled Salaries. a) If an employee’s current salary is in excess of the top step of the salary range for their position (i.e. is red-circled) prior to a market adjustment and the employee’s current salary becomes less than the top step for the range after the adjustment, the employee will progress to the new maximum of the range.
