Appointment Expiration and Reappointment Notice. Faculty appointments expire on the date set forth in the faculty member’s employment contract. Prior to the expiration of a faculty member’s appointment, the University will provide a letter to the faculty member notifying them of the expiration of their appointment. If the University intends to offer a faculty member reappointment, the University will inform the faculty member by August 15th of the year before the faculty member’s existing employment contract expires.
