Appointments and Assignments Introduction Sample Clauses

Appointments and Assignments Introduction. This Article sets forth parameters for appointments and assignments for Graduate Student Employees across the University’s schools, departments and programs. The University, the Union and the Graduate Student Employees acknowledge the variety of appointments that are given to Graduate Student Employees and the need for flexibility in adapting assignments to individual program, faculty and Graduate Student Employee needs. Therefore, there is agreement that the University shall have reasonable latitude in the appointment terms and duties. The sole remedy that a Graduate Student Employee who is dissatisfied with the exercise of flexibility may seek, unless otherwise stated in this Article, is a discussion of such modifications from the general parameters and, to the extent feasible, the University will examine its action to determine if there are potential adjustments that are responsive to the issues raised by a Graduate Student Employee.
