As-Builts Up to Date and Complete. The intent of this procedure is to obtain an exact “As-Built” record of the Work upon completion of the Project. The following information shall be carefully and correctly drawn on the prints and all items shall be accurately located and dimensioned from finished surfaces of building walls on all As- Built drawings: 13.16.4.1 The exact location and elevations of all covered utilities, including valves, cleanouts, etc. must be shown on As-Builts 13.16.4.2 Contractor is liable and responsible for inaccuracies in As-Built drawings, even though they become evident at some future date. 13.16.4.3 Upon completion of the Work and as a condition precedent to approval of release of the Retention Payment, Contractor shall obtain the Inspector’s approval of the “As-Built” information. When completed, Contractor shall deliver corrected sepias and/or a Diskette with an electronic file in a format acceptable to the District. 13.16.4.4 District may withhold the cost to hire a draftsman and potholing and testing service to complete Record As-Built Drawings at substantial cost if the Contractor does not deliver a complete set of Record As-Built Drawings. This shall result in withholding of between $10,000 to $20,000 per building that does not have a corresponding Record As-Built Drawing.
