Asbestos Materials. Employees required to wear protective equipment (i.e. combination overalls and breathing equipment or similar apparatus) as part of the necessary safeguards required by the appropriate occupational health authority for the use of materials containing asbestos or to work in close proximity to employees using such materials will be paid 65 cents per hour extra whilst wearing such equipment. This allowance will be adjusted annually on 1 March (2010-2011) based on the December to December Consumer Price Index of the previous year from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (all groups, Melbourne).
