Common use of Assault Protection and Leave Clause in Contracts

Assault Protection and Leave. 051 Definition Assault leave shall be granted to an individual/small group instruction teacher who is unable to work and who, therefore, is absent from his/her assigned duties because of injury resulting from a physical assault which is unprovoked. Said leave shall not be charged against sick leave earned under Section 5.01 of this Agreement. Said individual/small group instruction teacher shall be granted the aforementioned assault leave and shall be maintained on a full pay status during such absence, up to a maximum of ninety (90) working days.
