Common use of Assignment Outside Area of Training/Endorsement Clause in Contracts

Assignment Outside Area of Training/Endorsement. Classroom teachers placed in a partial assignment outside their area of training/endorsement will not be evaluated in that area unless they have had at least one full year of experience in that assignment. Though not likely to occur, if a teacher’s total assignment is outside their area of training/endorsement, the evaluator will give due consideration to that factor, and for the future the District, in consultation with the teacher, will make a reasonable effort through reassignment or other steps to ensure the teacher is assigned to a position for which the teacher has training/endorsement.
