Attendance at Meetings and Fire Drills. (a) Any employee required to work outside the ordinary hours of work in satisfaction of the requirements for compulsory fire safety practices (e.g., fire drill and evacuation procedures), shall be entitled to be paid the "ordinary rate" for the actual time spent in attendance at such practices. Such time spent in attendance shall not be viewed as overtime for the purposes of this agreement. (b) Any employee required to attend Occupational Health and Safety Committee and/or Board of Management meetings in the capacity of employee representative shall, if such meetings are held outside the ordinary hours of work, be entitled to receive payment at the ordinary rate for the actual time spent in attendance at such meetings. Such time spent in attendance shall not be viewed as overtime for the purposes of this agreement.
