Management meetings. 31.1 Either the Engineer or the Contractor may require the other to attend a management meeting. The business of a management meeting shall be to review the plans for remaining work and to deal with matters raised in accordance with the early warning procedure.

However the intention of all NEC contracts is that the Parties and their agents use the techniques of partnering to manage the contract by holding meetings designed to pro actively and jointly manage the administration of the contract with the objective of minimising the adverse effects of risks and surprises for both Parties. Depending on the size and complexity of the service, it is probably beneficial for the Service Manager to hold a weekly risk register meeting (Clause 16.2). This could be used to discuss safety, compensation events, subcontracting, overall co-ordination and other matters of a general nature. Separate meetings for specialist activities such as planning and activities of a technical nature may also be warranted. Describe here the general meetings and their purpose. Provide particulars of approximate times, days, location, and attendance requirements, stipulating that attendees shall have the necessary delegated authority to make decisions in respect of matters discussed at such meetings. The Contractor shall attend all site meetings and shall ensure that all persons under his jurisdiction are notified timeously of all site meetings should the Employer’s Representative require their attendance at such meetings. The Contractor shall keep on site a set of minutes of all site meetings, daily records of resources (people and equipment employed), a site instruction book, a complete set of contract working drawings and a copy of the procurement document and make these available at all reasonable times to all persons concerned with the contract.

Meetings of the Management Committee shall be held at least [monthly] [every two months] [every three months] unless otherwise decided by the Management Committee, and at such other times as may be determined by the Chairman of the Management Committee, upon at least 14 days’ prior written notice to all Parties.

Management meetings. The Department of Public Safety, through its supervisory structure and in accordance with the authorized chain of command, retains as a nonnegotiable prerogative, the right to meet with Sergeants, at its discretion, to discuss any matter of pertinent business, including, but not limited to, providing information and/or direction, reviewing and/or altering individual and/or departmental responsibilities and providing performance assessment. Except as otherwise specifically provided for in this Agreement, there is no right to SOA representation for a Sergeant attending any of these meetings. Attendance and participation at these meetings are not optional with the Sergeants, but must be adhered to as directed.
