Common use of Attendance at Meetings and Fire Drills Clause in Contracts

Attendance at Meetings and Fire Drills. 36.1Any employee required to work outside the ordinary hours of work in satisfaction of the requirements of fire safety and emergency response procedures required by the Private Health Facilities Regulations 2010 shall be entitled to be paid the "ordinary rate" for the actual time spent in meeting such requirements. In lieu of receiving payment employees may, with the agreement of the employer, be permitted to be free from duty for a period of time equivalent to the period spent in attendance on such duties. Such time spent in attendance shall not be viewed as overtime for the purposes of this Agreement.
