Audiology Services a. Audiology identifies children with auditory impairment, using at-risk criteria and appropriate audiologic screening techniques; determination of the range, nature, and degree of hearing loss and communication functions, by use of audiological evaluation procedures; referral for medical and other services necessary for the habilitation or rehabilitation of children with auditory impairment; provision of auditory training, aural rehabilitation, speech reading and listening device orientation and training, and other services; provision of services for prevention of hearing loss; and determination of the child's need for individual amplification, including selecting, fitting, and dispensing appropriate listening and vibrotactile devices, and evaluating the effectiveness of those devices.
Audiology Services. The benefit package includes audiology services as set forth in MAD Program Manual Section MAD-755, HEARING AIDS AND RELATED EVALUATION.
Audiology Services. The Contractor shall provide medically necessary audiology services to evaluate hearing loss for all members, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Hearing aids are covered only for members under the age of twenty-one (21) years receiving the EPSDT services. For members who reside in an ICF/IID, the Contractor shall cover hearing aids prescribed by a physician (see CMS State Operations Manual, Appendix J, Guidance to Surveyors).

b. Audiology services must be provided by either:
i. A Licensed Audiologist licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for SLP and Audiology (including only those activities in the definition within the scope of license); or
ii. A Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing certified by the Texas State Board of Education (including only those activities within the scope of the certification).

Audiology Services. SJI agrees to provide certain audiology services (“Services”) for the School District (“The School District”) set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, such that needs of the School District are met. Under no circumstances shall SJI function as a case manager for the School District or Students and as such, SJI shall not be responsible for being trained to operate the School District’s computer system and shall not be responsible for inputting Student data into the School District’s computer system.
