Background and Security Investigations. 7.5.1 At any time prior or during the term of this Master Agreement, all Contractor staff, subcontractors, and agents of Contractor (collectively herein “Contractor’s staff”) performing Services under this Master Agreement must undergo and pass a background investigation to the satisfaction of the County as a condition of beginning and continuing to perform Services under this Master Agreement. Such background investigation may include, but shall not be limited to, criminal conviction information obtained through fingerprints submitted to the California Department of Justice to include state, local, and federal-level review, which may include, but will not be limited to, criminal conviction information. The fees associated with the background investigation will be at the expense of Contractor, regardless if the member of Contractor’s staff passes or fails the background investigation. 7.5.2 County Project Director will schedule the background investigation with the Department’s Civilian Backgrounds Unit. The fees associated with the background investigation are at the expense of Contractor, regardless if the member of Contractor’s staff passes or fails the background investigation. 7.5.3 If a member of Contractor’s staff does not pass the background investigation, the County may request that the member of Contractor’s staff be immediately removed from performing Services under this Master Agreement at any time during the term of this Master Agreement. The background investigation, which shall be performed at no cost to the County, shall include at a minimum: Local felony and misdemeanor record check.
