BACnet Transceiver Installation & Network Setup Sample Clauses

BACnet Transceiver Installation & Network Setup a. Transceiver Installation Choose a location close to the computer, network hub or RS485 loop. Mount the Transceiver on the wall using four #8 screws. 24 VAC Input (500 mA nominal) - Connect 24VAC 60 Hz (no secondary ground) to the input terminals using 20 AWG wire as shown in the product data sheet. TCP/IP Connection (J2) Connection (J1) Default IP Jumper 24 VAC Input Figure 1 Terminals MSTP (RS485) - Use 20 gauge shielded twisted pair wire to connect the Transceiver (Terminals A+ & B-) to the network (See Figure 1). Do not Terminate the shield wire in the terminal. Terminate the shield wire at the controller end only. Multiple RS485 Devices - If more than one RS485 device is used the devices should be “daisy chained” or “straight-line connected” by connecting all the “A” wires to the “A” terminals and the “B” wires to the “B” terminals. Do not use spur lines or a star configuration RS485 Terminating Resistor - If the MOD9200 is at the end of a RS485 loop a terminating resistor should be installed to match the electrical impedance characteristic of the twisted pair loop and prevent signal echoes from corrupting the data.

  • Network Interconnection Architecture Each Party will plan, design, construct and maintain the facilities within their respective systems as are necessary and proper for the provision of traffic covered by this Agreement. These facilities include but are not limited to, a sufficient number of trunks to the point of interconnection with the tandem company, and sufficient interoffice and interexchange facilities and trunks between its own central offices to adequately handle traffic between all central offices within the service areas at a P.01 grade of service or better. The provisioning and engineering of such services and facilities will comply with generally accepted industry methods and practices, and will observe the rules and regulations of the lawfully established tariffs applicable to the services provided.

  • SS7 Network Interconnection 15.1.1 Definition SS7 Network Interconnection is the interconnection of US LEC local Signaling Transfer Point Switches (STP) and US LEC local or tandem switching systems with BellSouth STPs. This interconnection provides connectivity that enables the exchange of SS7 messages among BellSouth switching systems and databases (DBs), US LEC local or tandem switching systems, and other third-party switching systems directly connected to the XxxxXxxxx XX0 network.

  • NETWORK INTERCONNECTION METHODS 64.1 This Section sets forth the terms and conditions for Network Interconnection Methods (NIMs) provided between CenturyLink and CLEC for the Interconnection Facilities established between the Parties’ networks. Additionally, this Section describes the physical architecture for the Interconnection of the Parties’ facilities and equipment required for the transmission and routing of Local Traffic, ISP-Bound Traffic, IntraLATA LEC Toll Traffic, VoIP-PSTN Traffic, Transit Traffic and Jointly Provided Switched Access Service Traffic.
