Base Salary Range. For purposes of this Agreement, base salary range shall mean the salary range assigned to a specific classification as provided in Appendix B. Base salary rate shall mean the hourly rate of pay established pursuant to the step placement within the base salary range as provided in Appendix C of this Agreement as appropriate. Salary ranges shall be those provided in the Basic Salary Schedule contained in the existing County Code. SALARY RATES AND STEP ADVANCEMENTSNew employees shall be hired at step 1 of the established base salary range, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement. Variable entrance steps may be established if justified by recruitment needs through step 5 with the approval of the Appointing Authority and through step 11 with the approval of the Human Resources Director or designee. Within the base salary range, all step advancements will be made at the beginning of the pay period following the pay period in which the employee completes the required number of service hours. Approval for advancement shall be based upon completion of required service hours in the classification, satisfactory work performance and Appointing Authority recommendation. An employee whose step advancement is denied shall not be eligible for reconsideration for step advancement except as provided in the Article, “Merit Advancements.” Completed service hours shall be defined as regularly scheduled hours in a paid status, up to eighty (80) hours per pay period. Overtime hours and time without pay shall not count toward step advancements. Step advancements within a base salary range shall be based upon one (1) step increment, approximately two and one-half percent (2.5%). The employee shall be eligible for the first step advancement after completion of one thousand and forty (1,040) hours and subsequent step advancements after completion of two thousand eighty (2,080) hours. Effective February 1, 2020, employees shall be eligible for step advancement after completion of increments of 1,040 hours, until the top step of the range is reached. Employees who, as of February 1, 2020, have at least 1,040 hours from their most recent step advancement shall be immediately eligible to advance to the next step, if applicable, on February 1, 2020.   • Salary Range a. At the beginning of the 2020-21 school year, the salaries of returning full-time teachers were between $36,500 to $61,000.

  • Salary Ranges A. The salary ranges for classifications covered by this Agreement shall be those contained in Appendix D.

  • Base Salary During the Employment Term, the Company shall pay Executive a base salary at the annual rate of $250,000, payable in regular installments in accordance with the Company's usual payment practices. Executive shall be entitled to such increases in Executive's base salary, if any, as may be determined from time to time in the sole discretion of the Board. Executive's annual rate of base salary, as in effect from time to time, is hereinafter referred to as the "Base Salary."

  • Salary Rate The annual salary for regular faculty will be prorated according to the established workload for the academic year.

  • Annual Base Salary During the Term, the Executive shall receive a base salary at an initial rate of $550,000 per annum, which shall be paid in accordance with the customary payroll practices of the Company, subject to review annually for possible increase, but not decrease, in the Board’s discretion (the “Annual Base Salary”).

  • Salary Scale The salary scale applicable to Employees shall be set out hereinafter in the Wage Schedule.

  • Protected Salary Rates A. The Employer shall continue the current salary rate protection program for the duration of this Agreement.

  • Lower Salary Level An employee who accepts another position with a lower salary range will be paid an amount equal to his or her current salary, provided it is within the salary range of the new position. In those cases where the employee’s current salary exceeds the maximum amount of the salary range for the new position, the employee will be compensated at the maximum salary of the new salary range.
