Battalion Chief Qualifications. In addition to other qualifications described in the Fire Department’s Career Development Guide, qualifications for candidates for Chief Officer positions represented by this Association in the Fire Department will include three (3) years of line captain experience or two (2) years of line captain experience if appointed to an acting assignment.
