BLOOD-BORNE PATHOGENS AND OTHER INFECTIOUS MATERIALS. If this Agreement contemplates that the SRPD will furnish any medical assistance to DISTRICT students or otherwise potentially be subjected to any occupational exposure as defined in 29 CFR 1901.1030(b), then, notwithstanding that the SRPD is an independent contractor and not an employee of the DISTRICT, the SRPD shall comply with all applicable U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Health and Safety Administration (“OSHA”) safety and health standards and other requirements set forth in 29 CFR 1901.1030. For avoidance of doubt, 29 CFR 1901.1030(b) defines occupational exposure, as of the Effective Date, to mean “reasonably anticipated skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials that may result from the performance of an employee’s duties.”

  • Dangerous Goods, Special Wastes, Pesticides and Harmful Substances Where employees are required to work with or are exposed to any dangerous good, special waste, pesticide or harmful substance, the Employer shall ensure that the employees are adequately trained in the identification, safe handling, use, storage, and/or disposal of same.

  • Dangerous Materials Tenant shall not keep or have on the Premises any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable, or explosive character that might substantially increase the danger of fire on the Premises, or that might be considered hazardous by a responsible insurance company, unless the prior written consent of Landlord is obtained and proof of adequate insurance protection is provided by Tenant to Landlord.

  • DISCOVERY OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS If, during the performance of the Work, Contractor or Contractor’s subcontractor(s) encounter material believed to be asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), or any other identified or non-identified potentially hazardous material (which has not been rendered harmless and labeled as such), Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractor(s) shall immediately stop work in the area affected and report the condition, in writing, to District. The Work in the affected area shall not continue or be resumed except by written direction of District and by agreement by Contractor.

  • Prohibition Against Selecting and Installing Products Containing Hazardous Materials The Contractor shall not select, install or otherwise incorporate any products or materials containing Hazardous Materials within the boundaries of the Site. Should the Contractor or any Subcontractors have knowledge that, or believe that, an item, component, material, substance, or accessory within a product or assembly selected by the Contractor or any Subcontractor may contain Hazardous Materials it is the Contractor’s responsibility to secure a written certification from the manufacturer of any suspected material which identifies the specific Hazardous Material(s) contained, together with the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for such materials which shall be submitted to the Owner and Design Professional.

  • Anonymous Materials Other than routine personnel forms, no anonymous materials shall be placed in an employee's official personnel file.

  • Pesticides In accordance with Section 17-1209 of the Administrative Code, to the extent that the Contractor or any Subcontractor applies pesticides to any property owned or leased by the City, the Contractor and any Subcontractor shall comply with Chapter 12 of the Administrative Code.

  • Chemical Substances Supplier warrants that: (i) each chemical substance contained in Products is on the inventory of chemical substances compiled and published by the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act and (ii) all Material Safety Data Sheets required to be provided by Supplier for Products shall be provided to DXC prior to shipment of the Products and shall be complete and accurate.
