Board Professional Development Committee. The Parties agree that Professional Development needs to be addressed at the system level through the establishment of a Joint Committee. • The committee will consist of equal representation between the School Board and OECTA, not to exceed six representatives in total. • School Boards that do not have such practice in place shall establish such committees by January 2010. • The terms of reference are to be negotiated locally and could include : o The overseeing of professional activities for teachers during Professional Activity days and consistent with the learning goals identified in the Teachers’ Annual Learning Plans; o Promoting best practices and sustaining successful CPLC and monitoring their implementation.
