Bus Mechanics. Bus mechanics who break or damage a personal tool while working on a school district vehicle will complete an incident report to the Director of Transportation. The Director of Transportation will seek approval to purchase a new tool from the Director of Finance, which will become the property of the school District.
Bus Mechanics. Bus Mechanics' tools that are broken, worn out, lost or stolen will, upon application, be replaced by the Employer at no charge to the employee. New tools required for employees' use on the job due to new technology will be purchased by the School District. The School District will retain ownership of new tools purchased.

Bus Mechanics. In addition, when Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a workday, each mechanic scheduled for work on those days will be dismissed four (4) hours after starting time without loss of pay. The mechanic may elect to take either of the days as a full day off without loss of pay and work the other full day. Before making this election, the mechanic shall coordinate his or her schedule with the other bus mechanics. When Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a Saturday or Sunday, and when Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on a Saturday and are observed on Friday, an additional day off will be scheduled during the winter recess. When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the prior Friday or the following Monday shall be observed as a holiday or an alternate day off will be scheduled.

The Board recognizes the Association as the exclusive bargaining agent for all non-supervisory employees of the district scheduled to work at least five (5) hours per day and twenty-five (25) hours per week for four (4) or more months who are employed in any of the following position classifications: Mechanic's Helper Automotive Serviceman Automotive Mechanic (a) -shall be the higher rated classification Automotive Mechanic (b) -shall be the lower rated classification Lead Mechanic
Bus Mechanics.
1. The Board shall provide uniforms for each bus mechanic. This service will provide one (1) clean uniform per day. Mechanics shall be required to wear the Board provided uniform.
2. The bus garage personnel shall be given a tool replacement allowance reimbursement of up to three hundred dollars ($300) per person per year for broken or lost tools which occurred during the course of work with the school system. Mechanics must provide receipts for the reimbursement and the broken tool if applicable.
3. Mechanics shall not be responsible for making supervisory decisions when staffing the phone or radio during work hours. Bus callbacks shall not be considered a supervisory decision.
4. Bus Mechanics shall not be permitted to pull a bus video without being directed to do so by the Transportation Supervisor or Director of Business Operations. Any such directive will be documented in writing at the time of the directive.
