Common use of BY DEPARTMENT FOR CONVENIENCE Clause in Contracts

BY DEPARTMENT FOR CONVENIENCE. The Secretary or designee may terminate this Contract, in whole or in part, when it is in the best interests of the Department. The Department shall give the Contractor written notice of termination at least five days in advance of the effective termination date. When a contract is terminated for convenience, the Department shall only pay, in accordance with the terms of this Contract, for services rendered prior to the effective date of termination.
