Calculation of Severance Allowance. A) Proportionate payment shall be made to eligible employees for periods of service of less than two (2) years. The proportionate payment shall be calculated on the following basis: Hours paid * (excluding overtime) in the two year period x 1 week’s pay 1879.2** x 2 ** In the calculation of severance allowance, hours worked up to the first pay period prior to September 30, 1993 will be based on 1957.5.
