Common use of California DHCS Access to Records Clause in Contracts

California DHCS Access to Records. Contractor agrees that for a period of 10 years following the furnishing of services under this Contract, 10 years after final audit is completed including appeals, or 10 years after termination of this Agreement, whichever occurs later, Contractor shall maintain and make available to the DHCS, the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), or the Controller General of the United States, and any other authorized federal and State agencies, or to any of their duly authorized representatives, the contracts, books, documents and records of Contractor which are necessary to verify the nature and extent of the cost of services hereunder. Furthermore, if Contractor carries out any of the services provided hereunder through any subcontract with a value or cost of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) or more over a 12-month period with a related organization (as that term is defined under federal law), Contractor agrees that each such subcontract shall provide for such access to the subcontract, books, documents and records of the subcontractor as provided in Paragraph 3.10 and in this Paragraph 8.38.
