Common use of Cancellation Before First Day of Class Clause in Contracts

Cancellation Before First Day of Class. A class or assignment shall not be cancelled prior to the first day of class unless the College has given five (5) working days prior oral or written notice (by telephone, U.S. Mail, or email) to the unit member of the possibility that the class might be subject to cancellation. If notice is not given, a class shall not be subject to cancellation until the first class meeting. For the purpose of this Article, the five (5) working days begin the date the mailed notice is put in the U.S. Mail and postmarked.
