CANCELLATION OF LEAVE OF ABSENCE WITHOUT PAY. If the City intends to cancel an approved leave of absence without pay in excess of thirty (30) calendar days, the unit employee shall be notified of the City’s intent, and shall be given the opportunity to provide additional information in support of the leave of absence without pay or to return to work, within five (5) working days after receipt of such notice. If the unit employee fails to respond or return to work, he/she shall be deemed to have resigned his/her position.
