Common use of Capacity Building Clause in Contracts

Capacity Building. Provision of technical assistance and carrying out of training, outreach and capacity-building activities to benefit Entity-level institutions involved in developing, planning, implementing and evaluating municipal waste management policies and programs and controlling sector policies and regulations, including: (i) support for RS’ long-term planning within the framework of the Borrower’s solid waste management system, including enforcement measures and gradual upgrading to international standards; (ii) developing financial management capacity for said system to operate on a commercial basis and to achieve cost optimization and cost recovery; (iii) the promotion of private sector participation where appropriate; (iv) training related to disposal, landfill operations, closure of existing landfills and design of future landfills;
