Common use of Card and PIN Security Clause in Contracts

Card and PIN Security. (a) For the purposes of the Bank maintaining and facilitating the Card Account, the Cardmember shall ensure that all information provided by the Cardmember to the Bank (including on behalf of the Supplementary Cardmember, if applicable) is accurate and up-to-date. (b) The Cardmember shall update his or her information particulars at the Bank’s request for the Bank’s record, verification and security purposes from time to time. (a) In the event the Card or Card details and/or the PIN has been shared with with a third party with the consent of the Cardmember and/or the Supplementary Cardmember, the Cardmember and/or the Supplementary Cardmember shall be held liable for any use of the Card by that third party, notwithstanding whether the Cardmember and/or the Supplementary Cardmember has not authorized the transaction or not. (b) The Cardmember shall ensure that the PIN is strictly kept confidential and secured at all times by the Cardmember. The Cardmember further undertakes not to disclose the PIN to any third party under any circumstances or for any reasons whatsoever The Cardmember shall: (i) destroy any PIN notification advice of the PIN; (ii) ensure that the PIN is kept in a secured location even at the Cardmember’s place of residence; (iii) not keep any written record of a PIN on, with or near the Card; (iv) not display or to allow another person to see the PIN during any PIN entry; (v) not select a PIN or use the PIN negligently or recklessly which will contribute to or cause losses from any unauthorized transactions from the use of the Card by any third party; (vi) avoid using the date of birth, identity card number or mobile number as the PIN; (vii) notify the Bank immediately upon becoming aware of the PIN being used or known to someone else or may have been compromised in whatsoever manner. (viii) use the credit card responsibly, including not using the credit card for unlawful activity; and (ix) check the account statement and report any discrepancy without undue delay. (x) notify the Bank immediately upon receiving short message service (SMS) transaction alert if the transaction was unauthorised

You agree to keep your Card by that third partyand PIN in a place of safekeeping, notwithstanding whether the Cardmember and/or the Supplementary Cardmember has not authorized the transaction or not. (b) The Cardmember shall ensure that the PIN is strictly kept confidential and secured at all times by the Cardmember. The Cardmember further undertakes not to disclose the refrain from disclosing your PIN to any third party under party, to refrain from writing your PIN on your Card, and to refrain from recording or displaying your PIN in such a manner that it will be accessible by third parties. You agree not to leave your computer or mobile device unattended while logged into the services, and you will promptly log off each time you finish using the services. You understand that any circumstances or for any reasons whatsoever The Cardmember shall: (i) destroy any person having access to your PIN notification advice of will be able to access the PIN; (ii) ensure services and perform all transactions, including reviewing Account information and making transfers to other Accounts and persons. You agree that the PIN is kept in a secured location even at the Cardmember’s place of residence; (iii) not keep any written record of a PIN on, with or near the Card; (iv) not display or to allow another person to see the PIN during any PIN entry; (v) not select a PIN or use the PIN negligently or recklessly which will contribute to or cause losses from any unauthorized transactions from the use of the Card or PIN by (a) you, (b) any other applicant, (c) any party to any of your Accounts that may be accessed by the Card or PIN, (d) anyone you permit or authorize to use your Card or PIN, and (e) anyone to whom you disclose your PIN or give access to your Card or PIN shall be deemed an authorized use for which you shall be liable. If you authorize another person to use your PIN in any manner, your authorization is considered unlimited in amount and manner until you have notified us in writing that you have revoked the authorization. You are responsible for any transactions made by any third party; (vi) avoid using such person until you notify us in writing that transfers by that person are no longer authorized and we have had a reasonable opportunity to act upon your notification. You are responsible for reporting the date loss or theft of birthyour Card or PIN to us as soon as possible after the loss or theft. For your security, identity card number or mobile number as we may restrict access to the PIN; (vii) notify the Bank immediately upon becoming aware of the PIN being used or known to someone else or may have been compromised in whatsoever mannerservices without notice if we suspect fraudulent activity. (viii) use the credit card responsibly, including not using the credit card for unlawful activity; and (ix) check the account statement and report any discrepancy without undue delay.
