The Case Assignment clause defines how cases, disputes, or matters are allocated to specific individuals, teams, or departments within an organization or between parties. Case Assignment. The Attorney will be assigned cases by court administration as directed by the judges pursuant to their plan for case assignment. The Attorney acknowledges that this Agreement is not a guarantee that the Attorney will be assigned any specific cases or any minimum number of cases. If the Attorney is unable to accept an assignment, s/he will promptly notify court administration.
Case Assignment. The Attorney will be assigned non-Dependency Severance Trail cases in Superior Court.

Counsel understands that a Petition to Revoke (PTR) a sentence of a prior client is a new case which must be reassigned by the Regional Office. Counsel is not authorized to service a PTR client on behalf of OPD without first obtaining approval and assignment from the Regional Office.
Case Assignment. The Public Defender shall accept all case assignments, except for cases in which there is a conflict of interest or other related issue that would prevent the Public Defender from accepting assignment of the case.
