Common use of Case Record Confidentiality Clause in Contracts

Case Record Confidentiality. A. Welfare and Institution Code, Section 10850, states that individual applications and records made or kept in connection with public social services programs, are confidential and “shall not be open to examination for any purpose not directly connected with the administration of such programs.” This applies to CalWORKs cases. B. Contractor’s access to the CalWORKs Information will be limited to only those security levels that are essential to the effective and efficient administration of Contractor’s CalWORKs assessment services program. C. Contractor will fully explain the need and obtain participant releases if other exchange of information is necessary.
