Casual instructors. The nature of the work performed by a “casual” instructor and the terms of his/her appointment are described in Article 4.5 of the Collective Agreement. Instructors listed on Appendix A of this agreement and whose annual appointments are less than 25%, will be offered a short-term appointment, as per Article 11 of this MOU. Their rate of pay will be determined by their placement on scale. Instructors hired after July 1, 2006 for work that qualifies under Article 4.5 of the collective agreement may be hired as Casual Instructor, in which case they will be remunerated as per Schedule E or the Collective Agreement.
