Common use of Certificate of Insurance/Department as Additional Insured Clause in Contracts

Certificate of Insurance/Department as Additional Insured. The Vendor being awarded this Price Agreement shall furnish evidence of Vendor’s insurance coverage by a Certificate of Insurance. The Certificate of Insurance shall be required prior to the “Notice to Proceed” is issued. The Vendor shall have the New Mexico Department of Transportation named as an additional insured on the Comprehensive General Liability Form or Commercial General Liability Form furnished by the Vendor, pursuant to Paragraph (A) 1 and (A) 2, of this subsection. The NMDOT shall not issue a notice to proceed until such time as the above requirements have been met.
