Certification, Licenses, & Clearances. For employees who are required to obtain new certifications, licenses, and clearances, the following shall apply: the supervisor and employee shall develop a written training plan, which will be reviewed quarterly to help the employee in meeting the requirements. Non-probationary employees not meeting requirements as specified in their job description, may be discharged in accordance with Article 29. This discharge is not considered discipline, and the employee shall be eligible for rehire. However, before discharge, the employee shall be given preference to transfer to any vacant position for which they meet the minimum requirements.
